Electronics-Enabled Products Knowledge-Transfer Network

The Electronics-Enabled Products Knowledge-Transfer Network grew out of the PRIME Faraday Partnership one of the first four Faraday partnerships launched by the UK Government. Their work in this project is in the area of system reconfigurability and redesign.


The University of Nottingham: Precision Manufacturing Group

The University of Nottingham's School of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering is one of the leading engineering faculties in the country, receiving international recognition of it's work. The School is providing research into the knowledge meta model, the E-Race web portal, system architecture and assembly planning.


TQC Ltd

TQC of Nottingham UK, provide innovative turnkey solutions for industrial automatic assembly and test, Robot automation, special purpose machines, leak testing and function testing.


TUT - Tampere University of Technology

The Assembly Automation Laboratory (AAL) of the Institute of Production Engineering at the Tampere University of Technology, works for research and education in light assembly production for electronics and mechanical engineering industries, having a special focus in automated final assembly and back-end assembly operations. The research covers basic research, applied research and confidential contract research. VTT Manufacturing Technology Finland

VTT is an independent multi-disciplinary research centre with 8 research units and a staff of over 3000. Manufacturing Technology research unit activities include materials and manufacturing technology, manufacturing methods and production systems, computer aided design and simulation. Modelling and design as well as production technology are part of the overall strategy. Emphasis is put on virtual techniques, production system design, product design and data management and simulating manufacturing processes. Production Technology research group is part of the VTT Manufacturing Technology research unit. The Research group is carrying out research and service tasks to increase productivity and efficiency of the electronic and mechanical engineering industry. Key activities are related to discrete event simulation (factory simulation), other production and assembly modelling and analysis methods in production process as well as system and network development including production planning and scheduling using simulation techniques. Product analysis includes environmental effects and Design for Assembly (DFA).
