What does E-RACE stand for?
E-space for collaborative manufacture of
Reconfigurable Assembly Cells.
What is the main objective?
The main objective of the project is to
improve the initial design and reconfiguration process. This will
reduce the time, and cost, attributed to assembly design ensuring
that European businesses are increasingly competitive in the market.
Who is involved?
There are currently a total of 23 confirmed
members of the group in four countries, with another seeking involvment.
This does not include the funding agencies in each country. The
details of these members can be found on our consortium
members area.
Why is some of the information restricted?
The member's area of the site exists to
allow the communication and discussion of details of the project.
These details can only be disclosed to group partners.
What are the benefits for involvement in
the project?
Parties involved in the project will, at
very least, have the right to use the produced software for free.
A more detailed exploitation strategy will be decided on closer
to the end of the project. For more details on project involvment

Can my business benefit from the project?
It is hoped that all European businesses will be able to reap the
benefits, even if it is just the more buoyant market. Businesses
will be able to buy licensed use of the software after it's completion.
Those businesses that become involved in the development, validation
or knowledge realisation phases will find the greatest benefit.
